Local Pale Ale

Local, our signature pale ale, is a beer made for the locals of Currumbin Valley and its beautiful surrounds.

Local Pale Ale

Local Pale Ale has transformed into a clean beer that showcases nectarine, orange, sauvignon grape and a hint of dankness combined with a toasty malt backing with a brief pointy bitterness to clean everything up. An American Style Pale Ale reinvented by our head brewer, with a combination of NZ and US hops.

Featuring Magnum in the boil and Nelson Sauvin in the whirlpool. Followed by a solid dose of Amarillo on the tail end of ferment and a final whack of Cryo Mosaic as a dry hop to finish. All brewed with a clean ale strain. On a simple malt base of Australian Pale & Munich malt with a splash of German Crystal for head retention and sweetness. This is a mildly challenging beer as it is fruity and full flavoured. For most craft drinkers, this will present as an IPA but at 5% ABV it is a formidable pale ale that is a favourite of our head brewer and locals alike.
